In the last 30 years, Emily has grown up, but not really. She’s still the same 13-year-old stranger we have always known her to be. Emily The Strange is well seated in the black fabric of popular culture—even “retro” in some circles.

Over the years, Emily has become a cultural icon, known for her attitude, and DIY punk rock style. From t-shirts, stickers, and skateboards, to video games, full fashion collections, 4 novels, and 25+ comic books translated into 26 different languages, and a New York Times bestselling graphic novel, Emily has found her way into the hearts of millions. We’ve been through several entertainment deals, opened branded stores, and Emily has been featured in dozens of movies and TV shows and on celebrities worldwide.

Our original vision for Emily was one of self-expression and individuality, and we are proud to have maintained that spirit throughout our journey. One thing is for sure, Emily is here to stay.

From the depths of our black-hearts, we thank YOU; our fans near and far, old and new, as well as the agents, licensees, retailers, stylists, mom and pop shops, influencers, and tastemakers for keeping Emily alive all these years. Our dream is that Emily will continue to inspire people around the world for as long as there are people, and after that, to inspire the mutant zombies that have taken over.

To all the young weirdos, outcasts, artists, goths, punks, metalheads, emos, and strangers galore, never stop being who you are. Your strangeness is your superpower.

From all of us at Emily the Strange, stay strange! Here’s to 30 years!

I discovered Emily 2 years ago and she has really helped me to accept myself and not to change because of others. Thank you! 🖤🖤🖤

I’ll never forget that day back in 1996 a coworker came back from San Francisco – handed me an Emily The Strange sticker – saying hey “Did you know you look just like Emily The Strange?” I was so thrilled to see and now own this sticker that I looked at with such relatable feelings! Ever since I’ve collected and reveled upon Emily The Strange. It’s such a fun journey to have this twin persona looking back at me! Thank you Emily The Strange! Still rocking on this long Strange trip with You! 🖤♥️🖤

I have been buying Emily items since the beginning! My favorite are anything Bad Kitty and hoodies and a raincoat and an umbrella with ears. I wish I could find more Mystery Sneakers! I have one new pair left and several very worn pairs. Long live Emily and her Posse!!!
